NewsUK Championships 2010The UK Championships will be held at the Jersey Regatta, Friday 3rd to Sunday 6th September. Allen Brown is liaising with the Regatta organisers and is hoping arrange favourable for shipping boats from the mainland. More information as soon as it is available. Round the Island Race 2010The Round the Island Race is a spectacular event which was enjoyed, with great success by several Melges 24s. Racing against yachts of all sizes it is an extremely good opportunity to raise awareness of the class as a spectacular fast planing manoueverable boat that can compete in open regattas. 2010: What would you like to see happen? This is your opportunity to make things happen. Would you like more UK class racing? Should the class put on a training and tuning event? Plans for UK class events in 2010 are being put together, but what would you like to happen? Let us know and we'll see if we can make it happen! MembershipTo compete in UK and international Melges 24 events, and some other regattas, the owner of the boat must be a full member of the class association, and the helm (if not the boat -owner) should be an associate member. The rates for 2010 are £75.00 for full membership and £ 30.00 for associate membership. Please complete an application for and return it to the class secretary. |
